The MCC members decided to have the annual business meeting in November in order to give the members more time to know what classes they will be competing in for the following year.
This year the competition has changed so that the total scores one receives at the end of the year will decide what class you compete in. This plan will give all of the members a chance to move up (or down) according to their overall final score in each of the categories. (Nature-Challenge-Pictorial – Prints)
All member points in each category will be used to determine ranking. The top four (4) scores will be in AAA, the next five (5) will be in AA, with the remainder of the members in A. In the event of a tie for the last spot in a class all members with the same score will be placed in a higher class.
For example: A person in “AAA” may score a total of 65 out of a possible 70 points. A person in “AA” may score a 67 out of 70 points. A person in “A” may score a 69 out of a possible 70 points.
With that scenario the person in AAA will drop to A, the person in AA will stay there and the person in A will jump to the AAA for the next year. Basically we will all be competing against the scores of the other club members.
This plan will allow more movement in the classes each year and give everyone a chance to compete with different members. The final scores from 2021 decided the placement in categories.
